Treatment: Marine Hydrating Facial

The vibe: Plateau Spa has been designed with a Japanese zen aesthetic in mind. Think warm wood, lots of greenery and enormous stone bathtubs in the spa suites for a pre- or post-treatment soak.
When to go: Facials are typically recommended about a week ahead – in case of any adverse reactions.
The gist: Constantly battling dry skin, we tried the Marine Hydrating Facial. The hour-long treatment harnesses a clutch of Thalgo’s Source Marine products, all powered by marine ingredients such as algae and minerals. After the usual cleansing and toning came the mask. The therapist brushed a thick layer of Ultra Hydra Marine Mask all over our skin – even covering our lips. It slowly hardened and was peeled off after about 10 minutes.
